Exporting and sharing your boards is the final optional step in the FrameRef workflow.
Selection export options
Section titled “Selection export options”You can export anything from a single selection to the full board.

| Export Selection as Image | Ctrl + Shift + I | Saves the currently selected area or objects as a standalone image in your project folder and adds it to your board. |
| Export Selection to Folder | Ctrl + Alt + E | Saves the currently selected area or objects as a standalone image and lets you choose the destination folder. |
| Extract Frame | Ctrl + Shift + E | Captures the current frame of videos, GIFs, PDFs, and images as a still image. |
Drag images/videos to other applications
Section titled “Drag images/videos to other applications”If you need to export a single image or video out of FrameRef, it’s incredibly easy.
Make sure nothing is selected in your board, then hold Ctrl and drag your image or video out of FrameRef to the other application.
Board sharing
Section titled “Board sharing”As FrameRef doesn’t use any custom format — just a JSON file and a content folder — you can easily send your FrameRef project to anyone.

- If you are sending it to someone without FrameRef, just send the
contentfolder and they will get all your reference files. - If you are sending it to someone who uses FrameRef, simply send the full project folder. You can open the source folder with Ctrl + Shift + O.
