In the save / loading tab in the FrameRef preferences you can control settings such as autosave and auto-open.
In the save/loading tab, you will find these settings:

| Unsaved board behavior | What to do when closing a board without saving: Ask, Discard, or Save. |
| Auto open last board on startup | Automatically open the last board you worked on. |
| Number of recent opened files | How many recently opened files to show in the File menu. |
| Autosave | Automatically save the current board. |
| Autosave delay | Seconds to wait after a change before autosaving. |
